Benefit to Girls

One of Girl Scouts’ greatest advantages compared to other activities is its affordability, especially when you compare how much girls get to do and learn.

The girls who do the most tend to have one thing in common. They’re actively involved in their troop’s decision-making process.

Troop leaders say these girls are more likely to stay involved and get more from their Girl Scout experience, all because the girls decide what they want to do and how they want to pay for it.

Product sales play a significant role in helping girls achieve these goals. Daisies and Brownies may make a Build-A-Bear party or a trip to American Girl Place in New York a priority. Older girls often focus on European adventures paid for with hard work and determination and made possible through years of the entrepreneurial training for which Girl Scout product sales are known.

We encourage you to use this fall product sale as the starting point to acheive each girl’s goal in your troop. Making plans and following through is a hallmark of Girl Scout excellence and product sales like this help you pay for activities otherwise beyond a girl’s financial reach.
